Reflection:
As a counselor-in-training, I strive to demonstrate genuineness by being honest, authentic, and consistent in my interactions with others. I recognize that trust is the foundation of the counseling relationship, and I work to build that trust through fairness, transparency, and reliability. Being genuine means ensuring that my actions align with my words and that I present myself authentically while maintaining professionalism and ethical responsibility.
Through coursework, supervision, and self-reflection, I have grown in my ability to communicate openly and engage with clients in a sincere and trustworthy manner. Moving forward, I hope to continue developing greater self-awareness and authenticity so that I can foster meaningful therapeutic relationships and provide ethical, client-centered care.
